Claire de Gruchy

Neuro-Developmental Therapist and Health Kinesiologist

Registered Johansen IAS Provider

Claire de Gruchy is a mother of two who worked for a number of years as a PA/Secretary. It was when her son who at the time was 7 years of age began to fall back in his reading ability, that her interest in neuro-development began. Not content with being told ”it just happens with boys” a friend recommended a visit to an INPP practitioner. Impressed by her son’s improvement, Claire immediately recognized the benefits of The Institute for Neuro – Physiological Psychology programme (INPP) and Johansen Sound Therapy and was keen to exploit the opportunity to help others to overcome this and other obstacles. This is when Claire embarked on the rigorous training required to become a qualified INPP licensed practitioner and Registered Johansen IAS Provider (formerly Johansen Sound Therapist).  Claire regularly attends conferences and training sessions as part of her continuing professional development as well as giving talks to professionals and groups in associated fields.

Since 2003, as a Neuro-Developmental Therapist, Claire has been working with children and adults with a range of developmental and learning difficulties, using movement exercise programmes and specialised listening programmes.

In April 2010 she qualified as a Health Kinesiology Practitioner and became a Kinesiology Federation Associate and later a member of the Federation of Holistic Therapists.  Her training in this powerful yet gentle technique has continued and she have since completed further advanced study at Level 6 in November 2010, Level 7 in February 2011, Level 9 in August 2011 and Level 8 in June 2012. Claire now promotes and arranges HK training courses in Jersey and speaks on the benefits of HK, most recently at the ‘Less Stress Seminar’ held at the Royal Yacht Hotel, Jersey.

Using Health Kinesiology, Claire is committed to helping people achieve their personal goals whether to do with sport, education or lifestyle. She also want to help improve the well being of anyone who feels that complementary therapy may benefit or support them having received a medical diagnosis and during treatment by the medical profession.
