Victoria Arklie – Clinical Psychologist

Victoria is a Clinical Psychologist registered with the HCPC in the UK and a registered psychologist in Australia. She is also a member of the British Psychological Society. Victoria holds undergraduate, honours, and master’s degrees in psychology from Deakin University and the Cairnmillar Institute in Melbourne, respectively.

Originally from Guernsey, Victoria returned to the island earlier this year after seven years of living and working in Australia. She brings with her extensive experience in both individual and group therapy.


Approach
Victoria takes a warm, supportive, client-centred approach and enjoys working with clients of all ages and backgrounds. However, she has a particular interest in child and adolescent mental health. A key strength lies in building rapport and establishing trusting therapeutic relationships with clients, enabling therapy to be tailored to each individual’s specific needs. She takes an integrative approach to therapy, drawing from a variety of evidence-based techniques, including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), CBT for eating disorders (CBT-e), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Play Therapy, Attachment Theory, Motivational Interviewing, and Mindfulness.
